Now on the second year of its second decade, the Philippine Web Awards (PWA) has always been at the forefront of the country’s Web site development industry, chronicling – and honoring – the latest advancements and trends in this continuously growing and highly innovative sector. From the static single-page HTML-coded designs of the ’90s to today’s horde of dynamic, multi-platform and highly interactive sites, the PWA has been there, recognizing the best that local cyberspace players have to offer.
Through the years, the PWA remains dedicated to its commitment of awarding outstanding Filipino Web sites, and the creative and technical teams behind them. It continues to attract participants from all over the Philippines, win support from major industry players, inspire ingenuity and innovation among the country’s Web designers and online artists, and propel them to yet higher levels of genius.
The PWA is organized annually by Media G8Way Corporation (MGC), the exclusive licensee of the US-based media giant, International Data Group (IDG). For over two decades, MGC has been publishing the Philippine editions of two of IDG’s market-leading titles: Computerworld and PC World.
