Infiniti Gives Us a Real Convertible

For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the new 2009 Infiniti G37  Convertible is now here! The first Infiniti Convertible was a car tat no one remembers; the M30.

Aluminum trim that is unique to the convertible model only, sport seats, and a larger trunk are all standard. All Infiniti vehicle come with a plethora of accessories and this one is no different with a Bose sound system, heated seats, a wind shield, and auto climate control. Usually convertibles have a terrible stereo system, but the Bose system in the G37 will compensate for wind noise when the top is down. A tonneau cover disguises the three piece roof which rests in the trunk when the convertible feature is enabled. You can drop the top on the G37 convertible in seconds.

The regular G37 coupe was adapted to a convertible by beefing up the chassis and suspension plus making the car wider and longer. Of course the convertible is a bit heavier over the regular hartop model due to the added weigh of the convertible motor and accessories. Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7 liter V-6 engine produces over 325 horsepower and 265 lb feet of torque.lb feet of torque. Available with a excellent six-speed manual included in the sport package or a 7 speed auto. This luxury convertible features an updated brake system and giant 19 inch rims. G37 models with an auto transmission will have magnesium paddle shifters.
